Note: VEMA support will never ask for your API keys. These give access to your account and should never be shared outside of the VEMA Trader API key screen.
Step 1
Login to your FTX account and click on your Account Name in the upper right of the screen. If you do not have a login, click here to create an FTX account.
Step 2
In the drop down menu, select Subaccounts.
Step 3
Select manage subaccounts, then select the desired subaccount to link with VEMA.
NOTE: We strongly recommend you create a new sub account solely for VEMA Trader trading, do NOT use your Main Account.
Step 4
On the menu on the left select “API”, then click create “API Key” for your sub account.
Step 5
Copy and paste both the API key and API Secret into VEMA Traders “API key” and “API Secret” fields.
Step 6
Enter the name of your sub account in FTX into the “Account Name” field in Vema Trader.
NOTE: For FTX subaccounts to work correctly, the sub account name on FTX and the account name on VEMATrader must match exactly, including upper and lower case sensitivity. To ensure this, highlight the subaccount name as shown below, then copy and paste it into the account name section on VEMA trader.
Step 7
Click the “+ Add Key” button on VEMA Trader.
Step 8.
Your API key will now appear on screen. You’re now able to trade on FTX through VEMATrader. Happy trading!
Step 9.
FTX has a quiz all users must pass before being allowed to trade futures.
To access the quiz:
1. Login to the exchange
2. Click your name in the top right
3. Click settings.
One of the options on the left of the new page should be Margin.
There should be a button somewhere here to take the Australian Leverage Assessment test.
This will enable margin trading on your account with 2x leverage
